Support for content creation along with financial support

Our offer is aimed at schools from Germany who wish to develop a school partnership with a school from the countries of Africa, Asia, Latin America or South Eastern Europe.

We support schools that want to develop a new partnership und schools that already have an established partnership.

What we do not do is mediate partnerships. This means that schools that want to develop a new partnership should already know their future partner school.

Initiation Visit

Initiation visits are aimed at schools from Germany that want to establish a new partnership with a school from countries in Africa, Asia, Latin America and South-East.

It is important for us that the partner schools visit each other. Therefore initiation visits consist of two visits: The partner school from abroad visits Germany (incoming) and a German school visits its partner school abroad (outgoing).

How do initiation visits work?

Exchange visits

Exchange visits are an offer for schools from Ger-many that already have an established partnership with a school from countries in Africa, Asia, Latin America and South-East Europe. An exchange visit can take place in Germany (the partner school visits Germany) or in the country of the partner school (the German school visits the partner school). Applications can be submitted for incoming or outgoing visits.

How do exchange visits work?

Support on content

Each school partnership will be supported by two ENSA employees. They will advise project participants throughout the entire funding cycle. Project participants will attend three conferences at the project location between January and November lasting several days. At those conferences participants will discuss the issues of their respective school exchange through lectures, workshops and small groups. Experienced ENSA staff members and speakers will offer workshops dealing with:

Preparation and follow-up of the school exchange projects
Global Learning and sustainable development education
Skills such as teamwork and conflict management
Methods of raising awareness for diversity and inclusion
